- A note from the US: in most parts of the NorthEast, pulse dialling
- is still the norm, and some states still don't allow the telcos
- to automatically charge the touch tone surcharge (!) , wether people
- wanted it or not. In an act of irony and total corruption, American
- politicians and bribed members of public utility commissioned allowed
- most telcos to charge for something (touch tone) that costs them less
- to provide than the old technology (pulse/rotary dial).
